Privacy Policy
Last Updated: June 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Scholar Space collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our Android application.
1. Information We Collect
Scholar Space is designed to be a privacy-first application. We do not run any independent backend servers to collect or sell your personal data.
- Local Data: All your notes, schedules, files, and study data are stored locally on your device.
- Google Drive Synchronization: The app utilizes your Google Account to automatically sync and safely back up your data. We request limited access strictly to a dedicated, application-specific folder in your Google Drive (using the
drive.file scope).
2. How We Use Your Information
- Your Google Drive data is used solely for backing up and automatically syncing your app library between your devices.
- We do not have access to view, read, or modify any other files in your Google Drive outside of the ones created by Scholar Space.
- We do not share any data with third parties.
3. Data Retention and Deletion
You have full control over your data. Because your data is stored on your device and inside your own Google Drive:
- You can delete your local data by clearing the app's local storage or uninstalling the app.
- Deleting Cloud Data: To delete your cloud backups, log into your Google Drive website or app and manually delete the "Scholar Space" folder. You can also revoke Scholar Space's access entirely in your Google Account security settings.
4. Third-Party Services
The app uses Google Identity Services for authentication and Google Drive API for backups. Please refer to Google's Privacy Policy for information on how Google handles your authentication data.
5. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.
6. Contact Us
